IFAJ Croatia 2026 congress showcases Croatian agriculture to global journalists

International agricultural journalists from 40 countries are participating in the IFAJ Croatia 2026 congress, touring various sectors of Croatia's food production industry.

In the Slavonia and Baranja regions, participants visited over 30 locations to observe diverse agricultural practices, including crop farming, fruit growing, viticulture, and livestock. Key visits included Žito Grupa to observe precision agriculture and digital technologies, Rabo for apple production, and PP Orahovica to showcase hazelnut production, viticulture, and fish farming. The tour also highlighted medicinal herb processing at the Spider group.

In the Zadar region, journalists visited Cromaris, a leading producer of Mediterranean fish and a member of the Adris Group. The visit focused on the company's vertically integrated 'sea to table' model, which encompasses fish farming, processing, logistics, and distribution. Cromaris reported 118 million euros in sales revenue for 2025, with nearly 90 percent of its production exported to international markets.
