Ifeanyi Ndukwe joins Levante on loan from Liverpool
Liverpool defender Ifeanyi Ndukwe has joined Spanish club Levante on loan for the upcoming season. The move follows a setback regarding UK Home Office work permit regulations, which prevented the 18-year-old centre-back from playing in England this term.
Ndukwe, a Nigerian-born player, impressed during Liverpool’s pre-season campaign, notably performing alongside Virgil van Dijk in a match against AS Monaco. Liverpool officials identified him as a talent capable of eventually breaking into the first team, noting his tackling skills and composure.
The club opted for the loan to Levante to provide Ndukwe with a competitive environment for development. There are indications that Liverpool may assess the player during the winter transfer window for a potential return, provided he secures the necessary work permit eligibility.
