iFood Benefícios to acquire Caju in corporate benefits market expansion
iFood Benefícios has signed an agreement to acquire Caju, a technology startup specializing in corporate benefits, expense management, and human resources solutions. The transaction, which is estimated by some reports to be worth approximately R$ 1 billion, aims to combine iFood’s extensive acceptance network with Caju’s management platform.
The deal targets the Brazilian corporate benefits market, which moves roughly R$ 150 billion annually and serves over 22 million workers. Once integrated, the combined entity will serve approximately 3 million users and over 135,000 corporate clients. The acquisition is part of iFood’s broader strategy to diversify its business beyond food delivery.
The operation remains subject to approval from the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade) and the Central Bank of Brazil. Until the regulatory process is complete, both companies will continue to operate independently.
