IFS launches Industrial AI platform to automate operational tasks
IFS has launched IFS Intelligence, a new Industrial AI platform designed to convert operational data from assets, work orders, and schedules into actionable insights. Presented at the Unleashed conference in Orlando, the platform aims to bridge the gap between existing industrial knowledge and execution. It allows users to interact with data using natural language to explain current situations and plan next steps.
The system operates through three primary mechanisms: Cowork for querying data and preparing tasks, Loops for delegating processes to digital workers, and Runway for accelerating environment configuration. All actions are governed by the Industrial AI Harness, which manages context, business rules, and permissions to ensure security and auditability.
Additionally, IFS Softeon introduced Fulfillment Flow, an AI solution specifically for warehouse operations. This tool provides contextual intelligence to order fulfillment processes, helping warehouse teams understand the causes of operational issues and determine necessary responses in real time. According to IFS CEO Mark Moffat, these advancements aim to help industrial companies capture the 40 percent of potential currently lost to unplanned downtime and fragmented data.
