IFSP hosts seminar on internationalization in higher education

The Federal Institute of São Paulo (IFSP) held a seminar to discuss the challenges and successes of internationalization within public higher education institutions in Brazil. The event brought together representatives from various IFSP campuses and other higher education institutions across the state and country.

During the seminar, Luciane Stallivieri, a professor from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, emphasized that internationalization involves more than language instruction. She noted the importance of preparing students to interact with diverse cultures and technologies to solve emerging global problems.

Wagner Belo, coordinator of the IFSP International Relations Office, stated that internationalization is integrated with teaching, research, extension, innovation, and management to enhance institutional capabilities. Additionally, Professor Rafaela Souza presented the IFSP Internationalization Observatory, which tracks data on academic exchange initiatives across the institution's campuses.
