IFSP hosts discussion on breast cancer prevention

The IFSP Amplifica project will host an episode focused on women's health and breast cancer prevention on Wednesday, October 21. The session features oncologist Thiago Assunção, who will discuss risk factors, recommended screenings, and the importance of early diagnosis to increase treatment success rates.

Breast cancer is the most frequent type of cancer among women, though it can also affect men. The Amplifica initiative is an institutional project designed to bring specialists together to discuss relevant topics for the academic community and society through virtual lectures, workshops, and discussions.
