IFSP joins Forcult Sudeste cultural forum in Juiz de Fora

The Instituto Federal de São Paulo (IFSP) took part in the VIII Fórum Nacional de Gestão Cultural das Instituições de Ensino Superior da Região Sudeste (Forcult Sudeste) held from 2 to 4 August in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais. Organized by the Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (UFJF), the forum gathered public higher‑education institutions from the Southeast region to discuss cultural policy, regulatory frameworks, faculty training in culture and the strategic role of culture in universities and federal institutes.

Participants visited UFJF’s planetarium, the Museum of American Archaeology and Ethnography, the Murilo Mendes Art Museum, the Itamar Franco Memorial, and the Cine‑Theatre Central. They also attended performances by the university’s choir and the Pró‑Música Symphony Orchestra. IFSP was represented by Thiago Rodrigues Schulze, coordinator of Socio‑Cultural Actions in the Pro‑Rectory of Extension and Culture, who sought collaborative projects with the other institutions.
