IFSP students win ClimatonBrasil with climate management platform

Three students from the Federal Institute of São Paulo (IFSP) Campus Araraquara won first place at ClimatonBrasil 2026, an innovation marathon organized by the Federal Court of Accounts (TCU). The winning team, named Écodados, competed against 15 other groups in Brasília.

The team developed Écodados, a WebGIS platform designed to organize and contextualize data from the ClimaBrasil Panel. The tool aims to assist public managers by identifying weaknesses in climate policies and providing guidance for action plans. A key feature of the platform is an intelligent comparison system that uses artificial intelligence to organize completed experiences into reports, allowing public agencies to adapt successful solutions to their own local realities.

Professor José Rodolfo Beluzo noted that while artificial intelligence is used to support analyses and recommendations, the system's rules, calculations, and final decisions remain under deterministic human control.
