IG4 Capital proposes R$500 million deal to seize majority of Brazil’s Oncoclínicas

Asset manager IG4 Capital has submitted a non‑binding offer to invest R$500 million in Oncoclínicas, a Brazilian oncology service network. The proposal, structured through convertible debentures and a debtor‑in‑possession financing facility, would give IG4 control of more than 50 % of the company’s voting rights.

Oncoclínicas recently reached an extrajudicial recovery agreement with its creditors to address a R$5.1 billion debt accumulated from multiple acquisitions. At the same time, shareholder Josephina III sold about 55 million ordinary shares (≈9.9 % of the company), while Centaurus reduced its economic exposure to 0.7 % of the capital. The largest remaining shareholder is now Latache with roughly 14.6 %.

IG4, known for restructuring deals such as Raízen and Braskem, is also considering a public takeover bid (OPA) for the firm.
