Iga Swiatek discusses coaching partnership with Francisco Roig

Tennis player Iga Swiatek has expressed confidence in her ongoing collaboration with Spanish coach Francisco Roig, a partnership that began in April. Following a season that fell below her expectations, including missing the WTA Finals, Swiatek highlighted the importance of trust and commitment in the coaching relationship.

In interviews conducted during her time in China, Swiatek noted that Roig’s vision and willingness to travel to numerous tournaments were key factors in their successful connection. She emphasized that a coach's engagement makes it easier for a player to implement changes to their game, even when those adjustments are difficult.

Swiatek identified specific technical areas for improvement, specifically her serve, volley execution, and more frequent movement toward the net. She noted that evolving her playing style requires patience and long-term planning.
