Iga Swiatek seeks technical advice from Novak Djokovic in Beijing

Iga Swiatek sought technical advice from Novak Djokovic during a training session in Beijing ahead of the China Open. The exchange focused on Djokovic’s return-of-serve approach, a cornerstone of his game.

Djokovic explained to Swiatek how his positioning has evolved over his career. He noted that while he used to stand more bent forward when younger, his current stance involves a wider base with his feet slightly more open. This adjustment reflects changes in his physical abilities and overall game style.

This interaction follows a pattern for Swiatek, who has previously sought guidance from other tennis legends such as Rafael Nadal. Swiatek enters the tournament looking to regain her top form following recent challenges in the 2026 season.
