Iga Świątek has advanced to the semifinals of the WTA 1000 tournament in Toronto after a dominant 6-2, 6-1 victory over Diana Shnaider. This win follows a hard-fought comeback against Marta Kostyuk, where Świątek overcame a poor start to win 3-6, 6-1, 6-2. The Polish player has noted a shift in her playing style, describing it as a more patient and mature approach developed through her work with coach Francis Roig.
