Iga Świątek donates 200,000 PLN for children's mental health clinic

Tennis star Iga Świątek has donated 200,000 PLN to support the establishment of a mental health clinic for children and adolescents at the Mikołaj Kopernik Independent Provincial Hospital in Piotrków Trybunalski.

The renovation project aims to adapt existing hospital facilities to provide specialized psychological support for young people and their families, expanding on the hospital's current services which are limited to adult patients. The Łódź Marshal's Office has shared progress updates showing the renovated interiors.

While the physical preparations are nearing completion, the clinic's official opening depends on the hospital securing a contract through a National Health Fund (NFZ) competition to ensure public financing for its operations.
