Iga Świątek finishes 2026 Grand Slam season with lowest win count since debut

Iga Świątek has concluded her 2026 Grand Slam campaign with her lowest win count since her debut season. Throughout the four major tournaments, the Polish player secured a total of only 12 victories.

Her performance across the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and US Open resulted in no major titles for the year. Notable exits included a quarterfinal loss at the Australian Open to Jelena Rybakina, a round of 16 defeat at the French Open against Marta Kostyuk, a third-round loss at Wimbledon to Alexandra Eala, and a round of 16 exit at the US Open against Qinwen Zheng.

As a consequence of these results, Świątek is set to drop to ninth in the WTA rankings, marking her lowest position since February 2022.
