Iga Świątek and Maja Chwalińska Confirm 2026 US Open Entries and Upcoming Tour Schedule

Tournament organisers have confirmed that Polish players Iga Świątek and Maja Chwalińska will compete at the 2026 US Open in New York. The US Open entry list lists Świątek, Chwalińska, Magdalena Fręch and Magda Linette among the women’s draw, with Hubert Hurkacz and Kamil Majchrzak confirmed for the men’s event. Świątek, currently ranked eighth in the WTA, will face a decisive North‑American swing with scheduled appearances at WTA 1000 events in Toronto and Cincinnati before the Grand Slam.

Chwalińska, the 2026 Roland Garros finalist, has also been entered in the WTA 500 Guadalajara Open, set for 13–19 September, and will remain in the United States for the US Open and other summer tournaments. The Polish Tennis Association noted her recovery from an ankle injury and her continued presence on hard courts.

Świątek’s season has been marked by a early Wimbledon loss and a drop to 12th place in the WTA Race, putting her WTA Finals qualification at risk. She has been confirmed for the WTA 1000 Wuhan tournament (12–18 October), which could be her final opportunity to earn enough points for the season‑ending WTA Finals. Her performance in the upcoming US Open and Asian events will be pivotal for her year‑end ranking.
