Iga Świątek stays third in WTA rankings as Aryna Sabalenka enters Wimbledon as world No.1

The latest WTA rankings released ahead of Wimbledon show Poland’s Iga Świątek retaining the No. 3 spot, while Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka remains world No. 1. Świątek’s position stays unchanged despite an early exit at the Bad Homburg WTA 500 event, and she heads to Wimbledon as the defending champion with 2,000 ranking points at stake.

Sabalenka, the top‑seed for the tournament, faced criticism of recent form during a pre‑Wimbledon press conference. She disclosed that she has been working with a sports psychologist to address mental aspects of her game after a series of disappointing results at Roland Garros and a recent loss in Berlin. Sabalenka will open her Wimbledon campaign against Teodora Kostović.

Other Polish players saw little movement: Maja Chwalińska holds the 21st spot, Magdalena Fręch slipped to 44, and Magda Linette to 59. In the top ten, Karolina Muchova moved up to No. 9, while Victoria Mboko fell to No. 10.
