Igaci: Adolescent arrested for killing man after sexual assault

An adolescent has been apprehended in Igaci, Alagoas, following the death of 39-year-old Fábio Caetano da Silva. The victim died after suffering severe internal injuries and complications from sexual violence.

According to the Public Ministry of Alagoas (MPAL), the suspect allegedly immobilized the victim during a discussion before using a rigid object to cause fatal internal trauma. The adolescent reportedly confessed to the assault after being confronted with surveillance footage. The MPAL has requested the provisional detention of the minor, characterizing the act as an offense analogous to qualified homicide involving cruel means and futile motives.
