Igaci: Adolescent arrested for fatal assault of Fábio Caetano da Silva
An adolescent has been apprehended and has confessed to the violent assault and death of 39-year-old Fábio Caetano da Silva in Igaci, Alagoas. The victim was found unconscious on a sidewalk on September 8 with severe internal injuries and head wounds.
According to police investigations and the Public Ministry of Alagoas (MPAL), the suspect allegedly immobilized the victim during a discussion before committing an act of sexual violence involving a rigid object. The victim underwent surgery at the Hospital de Emergência do Agreste but died on September 9 due to the severity of his injuries.
The MPAL has requested the provisional detention of the 17-year-old, characterizing the act as an infraction analogous to qualified homicide involving cruel means and futile motives. The investigation is ongoing to clarify the full dynamics of the assault and the relationship between the victim and the suspect.
