Igarapé-Miri inaugurates new municipal school in Rio São Lourenço

The municipality of Igarapé-Miri, through its Municipal Education Secretariat (SEMED), has inaugurated the Ana Maria Serrão Quaresma Municipal School in the Rio São Lourenço region. The new facility is designed to strengthen educational infrastructure for riverside communities.

The school features air-conditioned classrooms, an auditorium, a teachers' lounge, recreation and dining areas, an administrative section, and staff housing. To ensure safety in the riverside environment, a gabion retaining wall was constructed to protect the school grounds. The project includes new furniture to support pedagogical activities.
