Iglobal graduates 241 professionals in Dominican Republic

The Global Institute of Advanced Studies in Social Sciences (Iglobal) held its 13th Ordinary Graduation ceremony at the Dominican Sports Hall of Fame, marking the institution's 20th anniversary. The event saw 241 new professionals graduate from various programs, including Law, Political Science, International Relations, and Education.

The ceremony was led by Leonel Fernández, former President of the Dominican Republic and President of the institution's Regency Council. During the proceedings, Rector Josefina Pimentel addressed the impact of artificial intelligence on society. She urged graduates to utilize the possibilities of AI without delegating critical thinking or human responsibilities to algorithms.

Pimentel emphasized that as technology becomes more influential, the role of social sciences—such as philosophy, law, and sociology—becomes increasingly vital to analyze the principles and limits of technological development.
