Ignacia Michelson ousted from Chile’s ‘Fiebre de Baile’ amid extortion accusations

Contestant Ignacia Michelson was eliminated from the Chilevisión reality‑dance competition “Fiebre de Baile” after her fellow participants voted to save rival Kathy Contreras. The decision followed a harsh assessment from jury president Raquel Argandoña, who told the dancers, “Ninguna de ustedes está para la gran final.”

The elimination added to a growing controversy surrounding Michelson. Former contestant Cony Capelli publicly accused her of extortion, saying, “Me extorsionó con un video,” and claimed Michelson threatened to release footage of Capelli allegedly using drugs in a nightclub. Michelson had also engaged in a heated exchange with contestant Fran Maira during a recent duel, further intensifying the drama on the show.

These events highlight the intense interpersonal conflicts and public scrutiny faced by participants in the popular Chilean dance series.
