Ignacio Agüero to attend 10th AricaDoc Film Festival

Documentary filmmaker Ignacio Agüero is set to visit the AricaDoc International Documentary Film Festival to mark its 10th anniversary. Agüero, who participated in the festival's inaugural edition, will present his latest film and discuss his creative process.

In an interview, Agüero addressed the role of artificial intelligence in filmmaking, stating that “absolutely everything is documentable” and that there are no limits. He also reflected on his motivations, noting that his work is driven by specific images or situations rather than current political or social trends. He discussed his film ‘El diario Agustín,’ which was inspired by remarks from researcher Elizabeth Lira regarding the preservation of historical memory.
