Ignacio Faín wins first Turismo Carretera race in San Nicolás

Ignacio Faín secured his first victory in the Turismo Carretera (TC) category at the Juan María Traverso Autodrome in San Nicolás. Driving a Torino, the 21-year-old driver won the second round of the Copa de Oro, marking his first win in 27 races.

Faín’s teammate, Facundo Chapur, also driving a Torino, finished in second place, completing a 1-2 finish for the Trotta Racing Team. Following this result, Chapur has taken the lead in the Copa de Oro championship standings.

Julián Santero, who started on pole position in a BMW, led the early stages of the race but suffered engine performance issues toward the end, ultimately finishing third. The podium was completed by Faín, Chapur, and Santero.
