Ignacio Montenegro wins Silver Cup title at Zandvoort

Argentine racing driver Ignacio Montenegro and Belgian teammate Matisse Lismont have secured the Silver Cup championship in the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint series. The victory was achieved following a successful first race of the weekend at the Zandvoort circuit in the Netherlands.

Driving the BMW M4 GT3, the duo secured the title mathematically after their performance in Race 1. This achievement marks Montenegro’s second championship of the European season, having previously won the Endurance Cup at the Nürburgring.

With both the Sprint and Endurance titles secured, the team is now focused on the overall classification. Montenegro aims to complete a historic triple crown by pursuing further titles during the remaining sessions of the Zandvoort event.
