Ignacio Torres announces infrastructure and housing works in El Hoyo

Chubut Governor Ignacio Torres led the 73rd anniversary celebrations for El Hoyo, announcing several infrastructure and social projects for the Andean Comarca region.

Key developments include the inauguration of a new Civil Registry office and the opening of a Casa Refugio, a safe space designed to protect women and LGBTIQ+ individuals facing gender-based violence. Additionally, two families received keys to their first homes.

Under the Plan Galina, Torres signed agreements for the construction of five new houses, street paving with cobblestones, and the expansion of the gas network. Other projects include the restoration of the Historical Museum, improvements to the El Hoyo Social and Sports Club, and investments to strengthen tourism, culture, and labor training. The governor also highlighted the expansion of the El Coihue transformer station to ensure regional electricity supply for the next two decades.
