Ignacio Usechi Goñi, former president of Pamplona Bullfighting Club, dies

Ignacio Usechi Goñi, a prominent figure in Spanish bullfighting circles and former president of the Club Taurino de Pamplona, has passed away. Usechi served as the club's president for approximately 13 years across two terms, specifically from 1992 to 2000 and from 2001 to 2005.

Under his leadership, the club saw significant growth, reaching a membership of approximately 500 associates. He was also recognized as the first declared ‘morantista’ fan in Navarre, following the style of bullfighter José Antonio Morante.

Beyond his involvement in bullfighting, Usechi was a notable industrialist and entrepreneur. He founded the brand Perbay in 1985, a company specializing in the manufacture of molds, dies, tools, and machine tools. Through his business, he provided long-standing financial support to the Feria del Toro.
