Ignacy Jan Paderewski festival concludes with gala in New York

The “Paderewski Returns to New York” festival will conclude with a gala concert on November 14 at the Kaufman Music Center in Manhattan. Organized by the Foundation of Culture and Art, the event commemorates the 85th anniversary of the death of Ignacy Jan Paderewski, a prominent figure in Polish culture and history.

The gala program features a selection of Polish and European music from composers including Fryderyk Chopin, Stanisław Moniuszko, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Mieczysław Karłowicz, Ferenc Liszt, Franz Schubert, Charles Gounod, and George Frideric Handel.

A highlight of the evening will be the screening of the documentary film “Paderewski, The Legacy Lives On – In Paderewski’s Footsteps, New York Then and Now,” which explores the artist's historical connection to New York City.
