Torino football club begins pre‑season under new coach Ignazio Abate
Torino kicked off its pre‑season under newly appointed head coach Ignazio Abate with an open‑air session at the Filadelfia complex that drew roughly three thousand supporters. After the training, the squad travelled to a high‑altitude camp in Pinzolo, where Abate stressed the need for unity, stating “Abate ha chiesto vicinanza, passione e unità”. He highlighted several young prospects, especially defenders such as Francesco Cereser and Pasquale Pellicano, and noted that the club is evaluating a new goalkeeper.
In the transfer market Torino is active on multiple fronts. Milan is prepared to loan midfielder Cristian Comotto – the son of former Torino defender Gianluca Comotto – after a solid loan spell at Spezia, and Fiorentina has also shown interest. The club continues to seek reinforcements in defence and on the wings while monitoring potential exits.
