The report claims that costs have risen significantly, alleging that some journalists receive annual sums reaching up to 300,000 euros.
The editorial staff of ‘Report’ and host Sigfrido Ranucci have vehemently denied these claims, labeling them a “defamation campaign” based on false figures. They clarified that the cited amounts include total production expenses, travel, and editing costs, which many journalists cover personally as independent contractors. Senate President Ignazio La Russa has also criticized the program, suggesting it needs reform due to a perceived lack of investigative balance.
