Ignea releases new industrial metal single ‘Prefab’ featuring Andy LaPlegua

Ukrainian progressive metal band Ignea has released a new industrial metal single titled ‘Prefab’, featuring vocals from Andy LaPlegua of the industrial outfit Combichrist. The track is part of the band’s upcoming studio album, ‘Monumental’, which is scheduled for release via Napalm Records on October 23.

Vocalist Helle Bohdanova stated that ‘Prefab’ explores the darker aspects of nostalgia, specifically focusing on prefabricated socialist architecture. The song addresses the uniform and industrial nature of these buildings, which Bohdanova describes as stripping individuals of choice and identity. The theme reflects on the remnants of Soviet-era architecture found across Europe and the bittersweet or romanticized memories associated with those systems.
