Ignite Junior College in Hyderabad Served Show‑Cause Notice for Using Cellar as Classroom

The Medchal‑Malkajgiri district intermediate education officer, M. Kishan, issued a show‑cause notice on August 1 to Ignite Junior College at Nizampet crossroads after a complaint from the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR). The notice alleges the college was conducting classes and operating a student mess in an underground cellar, contravening building and safety regulations that restrict cellar use to parking and essential utilities.

The college has been directed to submit a response by August 5, failing which disciplinary action may be taken. NSUI state leader Devarala Rakesh Yadav highlighted the safety concerns, urging compliance with fire‑safety standards and student‑safety guidelines.
