IGNOU and NCW launch gender-focused micro-credential courses

IGNOU National Commission for Women gender sensitisation micro-credential courses women's leadership

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and the National Commission for Women (NCW) have launched three new micro-credential courses focused on gender issues and workplace safety. The partnership, signed on August 14, 2026, aims to build capacity in areas such as legal literacy, gender equality, and women's leadership.

The three specific programmes include: - Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace (POSH) - Women’s Leadership, Capacity Building & Workplace Behaviour - Gender Sensitisation: Society and Culture

In a separate update, IGNOU has extended the deadline for July 2026 fresh admissions for all Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online programmes. The new deadline for applications via the Samarth portal is August 31, 2026.
