IGNOU extends July 2026 admission and re-registration deadline

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the deadline for fresh admissions and re-registration for the July 2026 academic session to September 30, 2026. This extension applies to Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), PG Diploma, and Diploma programmes offered via Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online modes. Certificate and semester-based programmes are excluded from this extension.

Students applying for re-registration during this period are required to pay a late fee of Rs 200. Additionally, the university has announced a 50% fee waiver for eligible SC and ST candidates enrolling in specific general undergraduate programmes, such as BA (General), BSc (General), and BCom (General), provided they are not receiving financial assistance from other official sources.

Applicants can complete the process through the official IGNOU admission and re-registration portals. Required documentation includes a passport-size photograph, digital signature, educational qualifications, and category certificates where applicable. Payments can be made via credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI.
