Igor Dodon leads Moldovan Socialist delegation to Russia

Igor Dodon and a group of deputies from the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM) are conducting a working visit to the Russian Federation. The trip was organized at the invitation of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

In response to the visit, members of the Liberal Party (PL) have called upon the General Prosecutor's Office and the Intelligence and Security Service to investigate the trip. The PL expressed concerns that the visit, occurring shortly after a closed parliamentary session regarding the National Army, may indicate political ties to Moscow. The Liberal Party requested an examination of the implications of this travel, citing potential concerns regarding external funding and political influence during the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
