Igor Dodon questions absence of 1,000 lei student aid in Moldova

Igor Dodon, leader of the PSRM, has called for explanations from the Moldovan government regarding the absence of a 1,000 lei aid package for students. He noted that during the previous year, ahead of parliamentary elections, the government provided this support to students starting September 1.

Dodon questioned why the measure was not applied this year, asking if prices had decreased or if families no longer required assistance. He contrasted the previous year's 300 million lei allocation for children with current spending, alleging that funds are being directed toward embassies and military bases instead of schools and kindergartens.

In response to these funding concerns, Dodon stated that he intends to propose several projects in Parliament aimed at supporting children, parents, and teachers at the start of the school year.
