Igor Fraga crash at Fuji Speedway prompts red flag in Super GT
During the fourth round of Japan's Super GT series at Fuji Speedway, driver Igor Fraga's #64 Honda Prelude GT was launched into the air and flipped after contact with a NISMO Nissan driven by Bertrand Baguette. The incident occurred on the main straight shortly after the safety‑car restart, scattering debris and forcing officials to red‑flag the race.
Fraga remained conscious, communicated with marshals and was taken to a hospital for precautionary checks, with no serious injury reported. The race stewards penalised Baguette with a 90‑second stop‑and‑go and a fine, and later imposed a drive‑through for an overtaking violation on the restart.
