Igor Jansen enters new career phase with TV and film roles

Brazilian actor Igor Jansen is entering a new professional phase with simultaneous projects in television and film. He has joined the cast of the new Globo telenovela ‘Por Você’, which premiered on Monday. In the production, Jansen portrays Maike, a character from Ceará who brings humor and forró music to the plot.

Jansen described the role as a step toward consolidating his adult career and moving away from his previous reputation as a child actor. In addition to his television work, he is returning to the big screen in ‘O Shaolin do Sertão 2’, a comedy directed by Halder Gomes. He reprises his role as Piolho, a character he has prepared for through intensive physical training for fight scenes.
