Igor Marcondes reaches San Diego Challenger final

Brazilian tennis player Igor Marcondes recently achieved his first Challenger final since January 2022, finishing as runner-up at the Challenger 75 in San Diego. In the final, Marcondes was defeated by American Nishesh Basavareddy in straight sets, 7/5, 6/4. This performance resulted in a significant ranking boost, moving him closer to his career-high position.

Following his success in San Diego, Marcondes traveled to compete in the Challenger 75 in Columbus. However, he was eliminated in the opening round by American Andrew Fenty, losing 6/2, 6/4.
