Igor Marcondes withdraws from Kingston Challenger match

Brazilian tennis player Igor Marcondes withdrew from his second-round match at the Kingston Challenger in Jamaica after feeling unwell on the court. Marcondes, ranked 316th in the world, had won the first set 7/6 (7-3) against Argentina's Lautaro Midon before losing the second set 6/3.

Tournament organizers noted that extreme heat and humidity played a role, with heat indices exceeding 36°C during the match. The match lasted 2 hours and 4 minutes before Marcondes was unable to return for the third set. Marcondes is currently returning to the circuit following knee surgery.

Despite the retirement in the singles competition, Marcondes remains in the doubles tournament alongside partner Marcelo Zormann. The pair are seeded third and are scheduled to face Aidan Kim and Dan Martin.
