Igor Miladinović joins Partizan Belgrade from AS Saint-Étienne

AS Saint-Étienne has finalized the departure of Serbian attacking midfielder Igor Miladinović to Partizan Belgrade. After initial negotiations stalled due to financial disagreements, the clubs reached a compromise.

Saint-Étienne had originally sought a permanent transfer valued between €1.7 million and €2.3 million. However, Partizan Belgrade preferred a loan arrangement. The final agreement consists of a one-season loan with an option to buy, a solution that allows the Serbian club to bolster its squad for European competition while relieving Saint-Étienne of the player's salary.

Miladinović, 23, joined Saint-Étienne in the summer of 2024 from Čukarički for €3 million but struggled to secure a regular starting position under manager Ian Cathro. During his time with the club, he made 33 appearances, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
