Igor Omura-Fraga takes first Super Formula pole at Fuji Speedway

Igor Omura-Fraga, driving for PONOS NAKAJIMA RACING, secured his first career pole position during the qualifying session for the ninth round of the Super Formula championship at Fuji Speedway. He recorded a best time of 1:21.714.

Kakunoshin Ota of DOCOMO TEAM DANDELION RACING took second place, followed by Hayato Nomura in third. Ota, the current championship points leader, noted that while the car's balance was not ideal, he was satisfied with securing a position to challenge for the win.

The race is scheduled to consist of 41 laps.
