Igor Pajac appointed to referee Ukraine–Hungary Nations League match

Croatian referee Igor Pajac has been appointed to officiate the upcoming Nations League match between Ukraine and Hungary. Pajac, 41, is a familiar figure to Hungarian football fans due to his previous involvement in matches involving Ferencváros, including a Europa League qualifier against Trabzonspor in August and a Europa League fixture against Tottenham.

Pajac’s career has been marked by controversial decisions, including a disputed disallowed goal in a match against Tottenham and criticism from Turkish media following the Trabzonspor match. He will be supported by a Croatian officiating team, including assistant referees Bojan Zobenica and Ivan Mihalj, and VAR officials Mario Zebec and Tihomir Pejin.

The match is scheduled to take place in Uzhhorod (Nagyszombat) on Monday at 20:45.
