Igor Palka appointed Managing Director of Congress Messe Innsbruck

Congress Messe Innsbruck (CMI) has appointed Igor Palka as its new Managing Director, effective March 1, 2027. Palka, an experienced professional in the trade fair, congress, and event industry, was selected from a pool of over 160 applicants following a public search.

Currently serving as a division manager at Messe Berlin, Palka specializes in technology fairs, new business development, and internationalization. He brings over 20 years of industry experience, including previous roles at Messe München and managing international subsidiaries, particularly in Asian markets.

The position became vacant after long-time Managing Director Christian Mayrhofer stepped down for personal reasons after 13 years in the role. CMI leadership expressed confidence that Palka’s international expertise will drive the strategic development and future growth of the Innsbruck-based venue.
