Thiago scored two goals and provided one assist during the match. His first goal arrived in the 40th minute of the first half, followed by a second goal in the 68th minute. He also set up Kevin Schade with an individual play in the 70th minute. Other contributors to the high-scoring match included Mamadou Sangaré, Dango Ouattara, and Keane Lewis-Potter.

The performance follows a strong previous season for Thiago, where he scored 22 goals in 38 matches, placing him among the top scorers in the English league. Brentford is scheduled to begin its official season against Tottenham on August 22.
