Igor Vukotić allegedly organized escape for Milanović from Montenegro

Encrypted communications from the Sky ECC application reveal that Igor Vukotić, an alleged leader of a Balkan Cartel cell, organized a logistics plan to help Ilija Milanović flee Montenegro in early 2020. The plan included providing funds, a new encrypted phone, and a travel route through Sarajevo and Istanbul to Spain.

The messages were sent following the February 2020 murder of Šćepan Roganović. The attempt to move Milanović occurred after the criminal group learned that one of their associates, Miloš Đuričković, had begun cooperating with investigators. While Vukotić initially attempted to reassure Milanović that Đuričković had not identified him, subsequent messages indicated that the associate had indeed provided information to authorities.

Milanović was reportedly tasked with using a rented boat to safely extract hitmen by sea following the Roganović assassination. The communications highlight the group's efforts to manage personnel and evade detection following the arrest of their associates.
