Igualada announces free concerts for Encambra’t Festival

The Encambra’t Festival of Young Chamber Music in Igualada has announced three free public concerts for its 2026 edition. The performances are scheduled for August 28, 29, and 30, starting at 20:00.

The cycle begins on Friday, August 28, at the Cementiri Nou with a performance of Beethoven’s ‘Eroica’ by the festival’s professors. On Saturday, August 29, simultaneous concerts will take place at the Escola Conservatori Municipal de Música d’Igualada (ECMMI). The festival will conclude on Sunday, August 30, at the Sala de les Encavellades in the Museu de la Pell, featuring a performance of Haydn’s Symphony No. 94, ‘Surprise’, by the Camerata dels Alumnes.

Now in its seventh edition, the festival is an initiative of the Quartet Altimira, supported by the Igualada City Council and the Department of Youth.
