Iguazú National Park reaches one million visitor milestone
Iguazú National Park in Misiones has reached a milestone of one million visitors. The millionth guest, the Peralta Destefano family from Mar del Plata, was welcomed by provincial authorities.
Misiones Tourism Minister José María Arrúa noted that while the volume of visitors is a significant indicator, the province must also address the economic challenges facing the sector. He highlighted that national economic conditions are impacting tourism, leading to shorter stays and reduced spending in accommodation, gastronomy, and excursions, which affects the entire local productive chain.
