Iguazu Falls attractions announce updates and operational status
Tourism attractions in the Iguazu Falls region are implementing updates and managing environmental conditions. In Brazil, the Parque das Aves has inaugurated a new Animal Health Complex. This facility integrates various sectors, including a laboratory, radiography room, veterinary clinic with a surgical center, animal nutrition, and neonatology, to centralize animal care and development. The complex features glass walls that allow visitors to observe professional activities while respecting animal welfare.
Additionally, the Parque Nacional do Iguaçu has expanded its ‘Amanhecer nas Cataratas’ (Dawn at the Falls) experience, increasing its weekly frequency and starting earlier.
On the Argentine side, the Parque Nacional Iguazú remains open and operating normally despite the closure of the Brazilian viewpoint caused by flooding linked to El Niño. While walkways at the Garganta del Diablo circuit were preventively removed in August for safety, other areas such as the Superior and Inferior circuits, Green Trail, and Macuco Trail remain accessible. The park reported receiving one million visitors in September.
