Iguazu National Park prepares for holiday crowds in Foz do Iguaçu

Iguazu National Park is preparing for a surge in visitors during the September 7 Independence Day holiday weekend. The concessionaire, Urbia+Cataratas, estimates that approximately 25,000 people will visit the park between Saturday and Monday.

To manage the expected crowds, the park will open its gates early at 8:00 AM throughout the holiday period. Special programming includes live music at Espaço Porto Canoas and the Visitor Center, as well as local artisan markets. Additional specialized experiences, such as sunrise walks and astrotourism, are also available through separate ticket sales.

Tourists in Foz do Iguaçu can also combine visits to the park with AquaFoz, a nearby aquarium featuring over 300 species across 28 enclosures. Combo ticket options starting at R$ 193 are available for those wishing to visit both attractions, which are located approximately 100 meters apart.
