IHAKUT Aviation Sports Club signs protocol with Adana AFAD to boost drone‑based disaster response

The IHAKUT Aviation Sports Club and the Adana provincial Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) have signed a joint‑work protocol. The agreement aims to improve disaster preparedness, response and recovery by integrating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) into search, detection and rescue operations. Under the protocol the two entities will conduct joint training, drills and field exercises to enhance coordination and the safe, effective use of drones. Club president Zafer Yılmaz said the partnership will strengthen Turkey’s capacity to handle emergencies and could serve as a model for disaster management in the region.
