IHG Hotels & Resorts surpasses 1,000 hotels in Europe
IHG Hotels & Resorts has reached a significant milestone, surpassing 1,000 opened hotels in Europe. Over the last three years, the company expanded its European portfolio by more than 210 hotels, representing a net system growth of over 25 percent.
Since the beginning of 2024, IHG has introduced 36 brand debuts in new markets, including locations in Iceland, Sweden, and Greece. The company is also expanding its brand portfolio with the addition of the Ruby lifestyle brand and the launch of the Noted Collection by IHG.
Germany remains a critical growth market for the group, serving as its second-largest market in Europe. IHG currently operates 198 hotels in Germany with 54 additional projects in the development pipeline. Recent German openings include the Kimpton Main Frankfurt, Candlewood Suites Berlin Charlottenburg, and the Garner Hotel Hamburg – Graf Moltke.
